Teams to watch for ODI WORLD CUP 2023

 

We are looking at top 4 teams to watch out for ODI World Cup  which will be started from the 5th of next month. The mega event will be played in round Robin style like previous editions of mega event. Each team will face every other team once in group stage. Each time will play 9 matches each. 48 matches will be played in total. Here is our list for teams to watch out for ODI World Cup 2023.

1. India No 1 ODI team 

The Indian team who is the number 1 team of all formats of cricket will be favourite to win this mega event in their home grounds. This will be first time in last 10 years or so for India to lift an icc trophy. They will start the mega event as hot favourite to Lift the trophy. 

The Indian team has clicked at right time. They have lots of questions to be answered before the Asia Cup  2023 but they answered them in their own by lifting the trophy. 

They have very good team on paper.

They have heavy top order with likes of number one odi batsmen and two of all time greats in Rohit sharma and virat kholi.

They have balance middle order with power hitters to be followed at lower end.

They also have very good bowling attacks with bumbag and shami to came into form at right time. Their spinners will be their biggest strength at the home grounds with the likes of Ashwin returning.

They are rightly so are favourite to lift the trophy on  19th November. Can the number one time across  formats break their jinx at icc event or they have to wait for another year or so to break.  Only time will answer.

2. England 🇬🇧 

The defending champions England are also hot favourite to win the ODI World Cup in row.

They have very good team on paper with their brutal batting.

They have very good batsmen that can strike more than run a ball. Which will be their biggest strength at the mega event. 

They have very good top order with likes of Bairstow, Brooks and Root. 

With the Ben Stoke coming out from retirement have strengthened their middle order with the likes of Jos bButtler,livingstone, moen Ali and Sam Curran.

They also have very good fast bowling attack with likes Wood,Woakes and Curran.

They also have the prefect spin attack with likes of moen Ali and Adil Rashid.

They have the best team to defend their title.

3 . Pakistan 🇵🇰 

Pakistan is also one the favourite to lift the trophy on 19th November. They have balanced team to do that.

They have probably one of the best top order  with likes of ever reliable number one odi batsmen Babar Azam , fakhar zaman and imam ul haq.

They have balanced middle order and spin attack with the likes of Muhammad Rizwan,Iftikhar Ahmed, Shahdab Khan and Muhammad Nawaz.

They probably the best pace attack in the world with likes of The Eagle Shaheen shah Afridi and Haris Rauf,  Hassan Ali. They will miss the the duties of their premium fast bowler Naseem shah who has been ruled out World Cup dew to injury. The Pakistan's bowling particularly Fast bowling  will be their strength at world Cup to win. Can they do it?. Let us know your thoughts. 

4. Australia 🇦🇺 

The five times world champions The mighty Australian  are also one of the favourites to wicc the odi world Cup for the 5th time on Indian soil.

Their performance in last five matches are not so promising but they have very good team to win the title for the 6th time.

They gave good batting team with the likes of  David Warner, Steve Smith,  Glenn maxwell and Marnus labushangne etc.

They also have balanced spin attack and very good fast bowling attack with the likes of Pat Cummins (c), Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazelwood

Can the mighty the mighty Australian win the title for the 6th time?

5. New Zealand 🇳🇿 / South Africa 🇿🇦

 

The South Africa and ever impressive the New Zealanders  are also in for contenders to with odi world Cup for the first time in their cricketing history. Both team have balanced teams on paper. 

They will be a great challenge for the other teams in mega event.
